BCHS recognizes nursing staffFive nurses, a member of the nursing support staff, and a service department were recognized recently during Battle Creek Health System's 2009 Nursing Excellence Awards activities. Family, friends, colleagues, and administration were
on hand to offer congratulations. The awardees included:
Telisa Ramirez, administrative assistant in the patient care services department was presented the Administration Award and the BCHS Skin, Wound & Ostomy group received the Team Award. "These recognitions promote continued clinical and service excellence," says Ann Pelissier Neeld, RN, MSN, MBA, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at BCHS. "They also encourage personal and professional development while celebrating excellence in BCHS nursing." "BCHS is certainly proud of all of our nurses," adds Linda Klavon, clinical nurse specialist for professional practice. "We especially celebrate all of the award nominees and recipients." Members of the BCHS Nursing Practice Coordinating Council; the Staff Development, Education, and Research Committee; and the former Work Life Balance Council developed the criteria to recognize outstanding nurses within the health system.
