About Lifespan
Lifespan is a regional home care service that was formed in 1996 as a result of the voluntary merger of Visiting Nurse Services of Southern Michigan, and Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
Lifespan offers patients and their families a comprehensive, high-quality system of home care throughout the critical phases of their lives.
From acute medical care, to home medical equipment and hospice care, Lifespan offers the combined resources of a community based health care provider, organized as an integrated, comprehensive, home care system . . . for the health of our community.Real Audio Links

Lifespan Vision
Lifespan was conceived on the premise that the home environment is both the most healing and cost effective setting for many types of health care and hospice services to occur.
Our vision also incorporates a true continuum of health care so that each patient receives the appropriate services at the appropriate time consistent with their condition and prognosis.
Each original service was strengthened as a result of the significant synergy occurring when several independent, but outstanding organizations, combine resources to focus on patient care. Our services were also enhanced as a direct result of our overall coordination with the programs and the future strategic directions of the Bronson Battle Creek. Our goal was and continues to be, simply to be the premier provider in southern Michigan of home health, hospice and HME services.
Our task is to improve ACCESS to health care and hospice services for all individuals and families. Quality systems stress a continuous improvement environment and further enhance our capacity to deliver care and services as we achieve maximum outcomes. Our goal is also to support, where appropriate, the requirements of other hospitals in southern Michigan for home health, hospice and HME services.
