Occupational Medicine Services
DOT and Drug Screening
The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires that drivers of certain vehicles be medically fit to operate these vehicles. Two components of this evaluation are urine drug screening and breath alcohol testing. Occupational Medicine Services is qualified to meet the stringent requirements of DOT testing. We provide complete collection, analysis and reporting services with National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) and NIDA-like testing centers. We can also collect specimens and arrange for shipment to a laboratory of your choice.
Some employers require urine drug screening as part of their drug screening as part of their post-job offer physical examinations. In these cases, Occupational Medicine Services can provide the same level of expertise it brings to DOT exams. In addition, we can support your company's drug-free work place with random, probable cause and post-injury or post-accident testing programs.
